The BBC has learnt that the scammers in most cases pretend to be from the local Job Centre. They offer to rating money on behalf of claimants in return for a payment.
Their victims in most cases best realise they’ve been duped when their recent advantages halt, they’re left in debt and must repay the money to the Authorities.
